AIVC Committee Structure

The AIVC Committee provide a number of services to the member Clubs of the AIVC. These services are paid for through a small national levy (approx. £2.10 per head) paid out of members subscriptions. The services provided by the AIVC Committee include:

Co-ordination of inter-club activities and weekends.

  • Management of third party Public Liability Insurance (a legal requirement).
  • Newslines Magazine - A national monthly newsletter for Committees.
  • The Annual General Meeting and Conference Weekend for IVC Clubs.
  • National Address lists (twice per year).
  • Development Workshops and inter-club Road Shows.
  • Local Regional Development Officers to assist Club Committees.
  • Publicity Grants and advice to help existing Clubs in difficulty.
  • Development Grants and advice to help start new IVC Clubs.
  • Information Services between clubs via email and web.

All the above services are provided through a small national Committee that consists of:

Executive Team:

  • Chairman - Chairs the AIVC Committee & Conference Meetings and provides the general direction for the Association.
  • Secretary - The principle administrative Officer of the AIVC, minutes meetings and ensures compliance with the Constitution by Committee Officers and member clubs.  Legal point of contact for the Association.
  • Treasurer - Looks after the AIVC finances, pays out officer expenses, manages the issue of grant cheques and prepares the budget for the Conference AGM.

Communications Team:

  • News Officer - Prepares the artwork and organises the printing and distribution of the national Newslines magazine to the clubs of the Association.
  • Communications Officer - Looks after matters relating to communications within the Association. Email, IVC National Website, AIVC Address List.

Development Team:

  • National Development Officer - Looks after grants and all matters relating to assisting existing Clubs and helping new Clubs to start.
  • Regional Development Officers - Local point of contact to provide assistance and help from the AIVC Committee for developing existing or creating new clubs.   All RDOs must at a minimum be experienced officers from an IVC club or similar organisation.

Conference Weekend Team:

  • National Treasurer - Ultimately responsible for all matters relating to Conference Finances.
  • Conference Organiser - AIVC Officer or local Club member responsible for looking after the day to day finances and organisation of the Conference Weekend
  • Local Club Committee - Responsible for putting together a programme of events for the weekend
  • Local Club Treasurer - Joint Signatory to the AIVC Conference Bank Account with the Conference Organiser
