2015 Conference Weekend Activities

Friday 24 April
13.30   Hotel Foyer Meet and Greet for the afternoon
Birmingham IVC has 11 club volunteers and the AIVC Committee to assist Conference delegates: 
Hand out Conference wallets and documents and help people check in
 
14.00       Check in for hotel rooms open
17.00       Pre-Conference AIVC Committee Meeting (AGM Arrangements)
19.00 Buffet in the City Cafe
21.00 Possible saunter to local hostelries - The Prince of Wales, Fiddle & Bone, Figure of Eight
Or relax and chat in the hotel bar/lounge
 
Saturday 25 April
08.30       Arrival tea & coffee  on the Gallery
09.00       AGM
13.00       Buffet lunch on the Gallery
14.30       Meet and greet  in hotel foyer:
Birmingham IVC has 6 club volunteers to assist with the Saturday afternoon meet and greet
 
Start of afternoon activities
  • Tour of the Jewellery Quarter  (2 club volunteers)
  • Canal and reservoir walk (1 club volunteer)
  • Visit to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (2 club volunteers)
  • Cycle ride  (2 club volunteers) 
  • Visit to Soho House via tram (2 club volunteers)
19.30 Dinner and disco in the City Cafe

 
Sunday 26 April
08.30      Arrival tea & coffee on the Gallery
09.00      AGM
13.00      Lunch in the restaurant
14.30      Meet and greet  in hotel foyer + Conference photographs:
Birmingham IVC has 6 club volunteers to assist with the Sunday afternoon meet and greet
 
Start of afternoon activities
  • Open top bus tour of the city. Cost approx. £12pp
  • Canal boat trip.  Cost approx £8pp
  • Repeat some of Saturday activities  - eg. Museum / canal walk for those people who did an activity on Saturday but would have also liked to do one of the others?  (Organisers to be arranged).
 
16.30 Onwards departures. We are not sure when we have to check out of rooms, but we are assuming there will be a left luggage area for bags.
